iGPS is a company built on sustainability and concern for the well being of our planet. Among the many factors contributing to global warming, nothing is more harmful than deforestation, a practice that has devastating impacts on our wildlife, water systems and air quality.
To underscore our commitment, iGPS has entered into a multi-year partnership with the National Forest Foundation in which we will make a contribution to the NFF each time an iGPS pallet is issued.
The iGPS-NFF partnership was launched in November, 2008 with a ceremonial tree planting in California’s San Bernardino National Forest, an area heavily damaged by forest fires. In May, 2009, iGPS announced we had fully funded 100,000 pine seedlings within the first year of its multi-year agreement with NFF. In June, 2010, iGPS announced its contributions have directly funded the planting of 200,000 new seedlings in the Deschutes National Forest in central Oregon, bringing the total funded plantings to 300,000.
