ORLANDO, FL – iGPS Logistics, the nation’s leading provider of innovative supply chain solutions featuring its lightweight, 100% recyclable shipping pallets, continues to be recognized by the industry for its leadership efforts.
These awards come as iGPS kicks off what promises to be another strong growth year for the company, even as iGPS and its clients continue to navigate ongoing disruptions to the global supply chain.
Repeating the previous year’s tradition, iGPS saw new colleagues named to the annual Food Logistics list of “Rock Stars of the Supply Chain.” Treshanda Carmickle, Director of National Account Operations; Derek Dugan, Director of RFID and Automation; and Pete Saldana, Engineering and Safety Manager, all earned the Rock Star award, which specifically recognizes the influential industry leaders whose achievements and hard work have shaped the global cold food supply chain.
The Supply and Demand Chain Executive Pros to Know Award, meanwhile, acknowledges outstanding executives whose accomplishments offer a roadmap for other supply chain leaders seeking to build competitive advantages. Among this year’s winners were Tom Edwards, the Director of Sales Engineering and Quality at iGPS. Though Mr. Edwards appreciated the recognition, he was quick to point out that this honor belongs to his entire team, who oversee the development and manufacture of the company’s innovative, lightweight, recyclable pallets.
“We are always grateful to be honored by Food Logistics and Supply and Demand Chain Executive,” said Jeff Pepperworth, President and CEO of iGPS Logistics. “I sincerely congratulate and thank Treshanda, Derek, Pete, Tom and the Manufacturing and R&D team, and everyone who works daily to bring excellence to iGPS and our growing roster of customers.”
About iGPS Logistics:
iGPS Logistics is North America’s only pooler of 48”×40” GMA-spec plastic shipping pallets. iGPS pallets generate measurable savings in transport expense, reduced product damage, and other operational efficiencies. iGPS’ platform is a major advance in supply chain hygiene — a platform that can easily be cleaned. It will not absorb fluids that can lead to contamination and never requires treatment with toxic pesticides or fungicides.
Measuring a true 48” x 40”, iGPS’ platform enables larger load patterns and is ideally suited for automated environments. And it puts an end to broken boards and protruding nails that can damage equipment, endanger workers, jam production lines and litter workplaces. An independent life cycle analysis has documented that iGPS’ solution is better for the environment than both one-way and multiuse wood pallets.
