ORLANDO, FL – iGPS Logistics, the nation’s leading provider of innovative supply chain solutions featuring its lightweight, recyclable shipping pallets, continues to be honored by the industry for its industry leadership and expertise.
Repeating the tradition of previous years, iGPS saw three valued colleagues named to the annual Food Logistics list of “Rock Stars of the Supply Chain.” iGPS team members Diron Bell, Sam Kheir, and Trevor Peterson earned the Rock Star award, which recognizes influential industry leaders whose achievements and hard work have shaped the global cold food supply chain.
Diron Bell, National Account Manager, recently marked his 15th anniversary at iGPS. Bell is well-known to iGPS’ nationwide clients as a trusted partner whose exceptional leadership and industry expertise make him an invaluable extension of their teams. Sam Kheir joined iGPS as a Carrier Procurement Manager in 2022. Kheir is a veteran of carrier management and load planning, with previous experience that includes roles at Benore Logistics Systems and Penske. Depot Manager Trevor Peterson manages the iGPS Logistics facility in Camp Hill, PA. Despite being one of the busiest depots in the iGPS network, under Peterson’s watchful the depot’s overall year-to-date inventory accuracy is 100% across the board.
“We are always thankful to the judges and editors at Food Logistics for recognizing our extraordinary team members,” said Jeff Pepperworth, President and CEO of iGPS Logistics. “I congratulate Diron, Sam, and Trevor and thank them for their hard work and dedication to our customers.”
About iGPS Logistics: iGPS Logistics is North America’s largest pooler of 48” x 40” CBA-spec plastic shipping pallets. iGPS pallets generate measurable savings in transport expenses, reduced product damage, and other operational efficiencies. iGPS’ platform is a major advance in supply chain hygiene — a platform that can easily be cleaned. It will not absorb fluids that can lead to contamination and never requires treatment with toxic pesticides or fungicides.
Measuring at 48” x 40”, iGPS’ platform enables larger load patterns and is ideally suited for automated environments. It puts an end to broken boards and protruding nails that can damage equipment, endanger workers, jam production lines, and litter workplaces. An independent life cycle analysis has documented that iGPS’ solution is better for the environment than both one-way and multiuse wood pallets. iGPS has been named a “Top Green Provider” by Food Logistics, a “Top Green Supply Chain Partner” by Inbound Logistics, and is also a recipient of the Supply and Demand Chain Executive SDCE 100 Award.
