ORLANDO, FL – iGPS Logistics, the nation’s leading provider of innovative supply chain solutions featuring its lightweight, 100% recyclable shipping pallets, continues to be honored by the industry for its expertise and leadership efforts.
Repeating the tradition of previous years, iGPS saw two colleagues named to the annual Food Logistics list of “Rock Stars of the Supply Chain.” iGPS team members David Elias and Gregg Mellott earned the Rock Star award, which recognizes influential industry leaders whose achievements and hard work have shaped the global cold food supply chain.
David Elias has been an iGPS employee since 2011. He began as a regional territory representative for the West Coast, and more recently was appointed to manage the company’s Moreno Valley, California depot. Gregg Mellott has the distinction of being the longest-serving employee at iGPS, having joined the company in 2008. As Director of Sales, Gregg focuses on strategic accounts for both small and large iGPS customers.
“We are always thankful to the editors and judging panel at Food Logistics for recognizing our talented colleagues,” said Jeff Pepperworth, President and CEO of iGPS Logistics. “I congratulate and thank David and Gregg, and their devoted team members, for their hard work and dedication. They truly are Rock Stars of the Supply Chain.”
About iGPS Logistics:
iGPS Logistics is North America’s only pooler of 48”×40” GMA-spec plastic shipping pallets. iGPS pallets generate measurable savings in transport expense, reduced product damage, and other operational efficiencies. iGPS’ platform is a major advance in supply chain hygiene — a platform that can easily be cleaned. It will not absorb fluids that can lead to contamination and never requires treatment with toxic pesticides or fungicides.
Measuring a true 48” x 40”, iGPS’ platform enables larger load patterns and is ideally suited for automated environments. And it puts an end to broken boards and protruding nails that can damage equipment, endanger workers, jam production lines and litter workplaces. An independent life cycle analysis has documented that iGPS’ solution is better for the environment than both one-way and multiuse wood pallets.
