Nationwide Plastic Pallet Leader Announces Recognition for Two Colleagues
ORLANDO, FL – iGPS Logistics, the nation’s leading provider of plastic pooling solutions featuring its lightweight, 100% recyclable shipping pallets, has announced that Stephanie Armstrong, Logistics Coordinator, and Treshanda Carmickle, Director of Field Management, have both been named to Supply and Demand Chain Executive’s list of Top Women in the Supply Chain.
This is the third consecutive year in which one or more iGPS employees have received this annual award, which is given to deserving women whose accomplishments set a positive example for women throughout the global supply chain network.
Armstrong supports the company’s Texas and southeast regions, working directly with manufacturers and retailers to manage high-priority and time-sensitive logistics issues. She has been consistently recognized by her iGPS peers for her exceptional employee engagement survey scores. Carmickle has been with iGPS for more than 14 years, overseeing key customer accounts nationwide. She has been instrumental in the company’s growth, including the expansion and optimization of the iDepot network.
“On behalf of the iGPS Logistics team, I applaud Stephanie and Treshanda along with their fellow industry honorees,” said Jeff Pepperworth, president and CEO of iGPS Logistics. “They are among many outstanding businesswomen who serve as role models to the next generation of supply chain industry leaders.”
About iGPS Logistics:
iGPS Logistics is North America’s first pooler of 48” x 40” CBA-spec plastic shipping pallets. iGPS pallets generate measurable savings in transport expenses, reduced product damage, and other operational efficiencies. iGPS’ platform is a major advance in supply chain hygiene — a platform that can easily be cleaned. It will not absorb fluids that can lead to contamination and never requires treatment with toxic pesticides or fungicides.
Measuring 48” x 40”, iGPS’ platform enables larger load patterns and is ideally suited for automated environments. It puts an end to broken boards and protruding nails that can damage equipment, endanger workers, jam production lines, and litter workplaces. An independent life cycle analysis has documented that iGPS’ solution is better for the environment than both one-way and multiuse wood pallets. iGPS has been named a “Top Green Provider” by Food Logistics, a “Top Green Supply Chain Partner” by Inbound Logistics, and is also a recipient of the Supply and Demand Chain Executive SDCE 100 Award.
