ORLANDO, FL – iGPS Logistics, the nation’s leading provider of innovative supply chain solutions featuring its lightweight, 100% recyclable shipping pallets, has announced that Cory Lehman, the company’s Director of Asset Management, has been named by Food Logistics as a winner of its 2021 “Rock Stars of the Supply Chain” award.
Food Logistics annually awards this industry honor to individuals as a way to “recognize the industry’s most influential for their hard work, vision and leadership in shaping the global food supply chain.”
A supply chain veteran with more than a decade in the logistics and pallet industries, Lehman joined iGPS in early 2020 — and quickly established himself as an invaluable partner to the company’s growing roster of clients. Under his leadership, the company has completely revamped its retailer metrics and launched new programs to help its customers plan more efficiently and save time and money.
“A ‘rock star’ is someone who is revered and renowned in their field, and that certainly defines Cory,” said Rob Ferrentino, Chief Financial Officer of iGPS. “He is deservedly well-known in the industry for his business acumen, customer focus, and knack for problem-solving.”
“Cory’s passion and motivation not only make a huge impact for iGPS and our customers, but these traits also drive others to want to make a positive difference,” added iGPS President and CEO Jeff Pepperworth. “I join the iGPS family in extending our congratulations to Cory.”
“I am grateful not only to Food Logistics, but also to my colleagues and team at iGPS for their leadership and unending support,” said Lehman in accepting the award. “Such recognition is very humbling, but for me the true reward is being able to make a long-lasting and positive difference for our customers, and for the retailers and consumers they serve.”
About iGPS Logistics:
iGPS Logistics is North America’s only pooler of 48” x 40” CBA-spec plastic shipping pallets. iGPS pallets generate measurable savings in transport expense, reduced product damage, and other operational efficiencies. iGPS’ platform is a major advance in supply chain hygiene — a platform that can easily be cleaned. It will not absorb fluids that can lead to contamination and never requires treatment with toxic pesticides or fungicides.
Measuring at 48” x 40”, iGPS’ platform enables larger load patterns and is ideally suited for automated environments. And it puts an end to broken boards and protruding nails that can damage equipment, endanger workers, jam production lines and litter workplaces. An independent life cycle analysis has documented that iGPS’ solution is better for the environment than both one-way and multiuse wood pallets. iGPS has been named a “Top Green Provider” by Food Logistics, a “Top Green Supply Chain Partner” by Inbound Logistics, and is also a recipient of the Supply and Demand Chain Executive SDCE 100 Award.
