Nationwide Plastic Pallet Leader Makes the List Four Years in a Row
ORLANDO, FL – iGPS Logistics, the nation’s leading provider of plastic pooling solutions featuring its lightweight, recyclable shipping pallets, has announced that colleagues Astrid Lopez and Aracely Ocampo have been named to Supply and Demand Chain Executive’s (SDCE) 2024 list of Top Women in the Supply Chain.
This is the fourth consecutive year in which one or more members of the iGPS team have received this annual recognition, which is given to deserving women whose efforts and accomplishments are moving the global supply chain forward.
Lopez, based in Florida, serves as a Human Resources Manager and has been crucial in restructuring iGPS’ HR processes throughout her tenure, as well as conducting supply chain analytics. She spent several memorable years as a volleyball coach for a high-school varsity girls’ team, and played a key role in helping two girls obtain full college scholarships. Lopez was recognized by SCDE as a top woman in the supply chain in its “Workforce Innovator” category.
Based in California, Ocampo serves as a Sr. Office Support Supervisor, a diverse role that includes oversight of employee training, onboarding, reporting, and process improvement. As a single mom, homeowner, and first-generation Mexican-American, Ocampo knows firsthand the struggles that can be faced and rewards that can be earned as a supply chain professional. She was honored as a top woman in the supply chain in the “Rising Stars” category.
“On behalf of the entire iGPS team, I congratulate Astrid and Aracely along with their fellow honorees,” said Jeff Pepperworth, president and CEO of iGPS Logistics. “They have been deservedly recognized as supply chain leaders who are setting a shining example for the next generation of industry professionals.”
About iGPS Logistics:
iGPS Logistics is North America’s only pooler of 48” x 40” CBA-spec plastic shipping pallets. iGPS pallets generate measurable savings in transport expense, reduced product damage, and other operational efficiencies. iGPS’ platform is a major advance in supply chain hygiene — a platform that can easily be cleaned. It will not absorb fluids that can lead to contamination and never requires treatment with toxic pesticides or fungicides.
Measuring at 48” x 40”, iGPS’ platform enables larger load patterns and is ideally suited for automated environments. It puts an end to broken boards and protruding nails that can damage equipment, endanger workers, jam production lines, and litter workplaces. An independent life cycle analysis has documented that iGPS’ solution is better for the environment than both one-way and multiuse wood pallets. iGPS has been named a “Top Green Provider” by Food Logistics, a “Top Green Supply Chain Partner” by Inbound Logistics, and is also a recipient of the Supply and Demand Chain Executive SDCE 100 Award.
